State and Community Affairs updating database

The Office of State and Community Affairs is asking Boston College administrators, faculty and staff for information on community service programs and initiatives in which they take part.

This information will become part of the office's database on BC's community involvement and be available on-line through the World Wide Web sites for State and Community Affairs and Student Affairs. Users will be able to learn of the many ways Boston College employees and students are involved in the community. BC community service providers and academics also may be able to create more opportunities and coordination among service program organizers through the database.

Burns features exhibit on Book of Hours

The John J. Burns Library will host an exhibit on the Connolly Book of Hours , a rare medieval manuscript named after the late University Librarian Terence Connolly, SJ. A prayer book used by lay men and women in the late Middle Ages, the text provided the basis for the recent publication Reflections on the Connolly Book of Hours , written by Prof. Rebecca Valette (Romance Languages and Literatures) and Timothy Sullivan '00 and containing essays by members of the University community.

The exhibit will run until Oct. 31.
