Associate Dean of Faculties Richard Spinello, the conference chair, is accepting papers of about 5,000-6,000 words and panel proposals. The focus this year will be on the Internet and its impact on daily life, but any topic related to the broad theme of ethics and technology will be considered.
For further information, contact Spinello at ext.2-3263 or richard.spinello@bc.edu. Details also are available through the World Wide Web at http://www.bc.edu/avp/ethics_tech.html.
The conference will address three issues: how Jesuit campuses have made a commitment to justice; development of a better theoretical understanding of what the commitment to justice in Jesuit higher education should be; and what steps should be taken to further that commitment.
Titles and abstracts can be submitted at any time through Feb. 28. For more information, contact David McMenamin at ext.2-3868, or david.mcmenamin@bc.edu.
