Leading workshops at the "Jane Jacobs: Ideas that Matter" conference Oct. 15-19 were Burns Librarian Robert O'Neill, Assoc. Prof. Patrick Byrne (Philosophy); and Carroll School of Management Associate Dean Richard Keeley, who was instrumental in forging ties between Jacobs and Boston College.
"The program throughout the week was remarkable for its diversity of participation," Keeley said. "You had people from around the world and of every stripe, including politicians, bankers, academics, community activists, architects and planners."
