Law School Honors Judge

The Boston College Law School will honor Supreme Judicial Court Justice Roderick Ireland at its annual Law Day event today, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Westin Hotel in Boston.

Ireland will be presented with the St. Thomas More Award, which recognizes a member of the legal community whose life and career represents the ideals of St. Thomas More.

Three other awards will be given at Law Day. Mary K. Ryan JD '77 will receive the William J. Kenealy, SJ, Alumna of the Year, for her efforts to benefit the school, its student and alumni. Daniel E. Callahan JD '72 will be presented the Honorable David S. Nelson Public Interest Law Award for significant contributions to the public sector or in public interest law. The Special Service Award, honoring a faculty member for extraordinary service to the Law School, will be given to Prof. Peter Donovan (Law).
