This is the final issue of Chronicle for the fall semester. Publication will resume on Thursday, Jan. 15 and continue on alternating Thursdays through May 7. The final issue of the academic year will be published on Friday, May 22.
The deadline for all Calendar submissions is the Thursday prior to publication. Requests for event coverage should be made at least three weeks in advance.
Employees who wish to participate in the Flexible Spending Account plan during calendar year 1998 must enroll before Jan. 1.
Through pre-tax payroll deductions, FSAs allow employees to save taxes on money spent for uncovered medical, dental or dependent care expenses.
Two FSA accounts, one for medical-dental and one for dependent care, are available. Participants must stipulate the total amount to be deposited in either or both of the FSA accounts for the year and the amount is deducted in equal increments throughout the year.
