Tech. Session To Be Held

Faculty will have the opportunity to learn how computer technology and Internet resources can support teaching and research at a symposium on Columbus Day, Oct. 14, in Fulton 511 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

"Networked Learning: The State of the Art" will summarize network technology applications in teaching and learning for faculty, and demonstrate how such technology can be used in classes. Experts in network technology from Boston College and other institutions will share their knowledge with participants.

Areas covered during various sessions will include: networked learning applications, use of the Internet in course syllabi and class communication, use of local area network facilities to maintain and share laboratory applications, use of computer and telephone technology to enhance communication with students, and file-sharing for learning in the design fields and related professions.
