Tech Products Store to offer Apple events, trade-up days

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, Information Technology will host the first in a series of "Hot Topics in Technology" sessions on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 1-3 p.m. in Gasson 06. An Apple Computer representative will discuss Apple's MacOS strategy and how it affects Next Computer buyers. Further sessions will be scheduled in the coming months and will be posted on the Information Technology web page at http://www.bc.edu/infotech.

On Thursday, March 13, the BC Tech Products Store will sponsor an Apple Open House from 4-7 p.m. in Gasson 15. Apple Computer products will be demonstrated for graduate students, faculty, and staff.

The Tech Products Store also has scheduled "Trade-Up" days for March 21 and May 2. An outside vendor will appraise personally owned used equipment and provide a voucher to BC students, faculty or staff members that can be used towards a purchase in the Tech Products Store. Both events will be held from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Service Building, room 03.

New policies released

The Office of Policies and Procedures released three new policies earlier this month.

The policies relate to the University signage program, the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act, and the Student Right-to-Know Act.

Faculty/Staff basketball nights slated for February

The Boston College women's basketball team will sponsor two faculty/staff nights next month. Employees who show their BC identification at the door will receive free admission.

The faculty/staff nights will be Wednesday, Feb. 5, when the women's basketball team takes on Providence College at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 8, when it tips off against Seton Hall at 1 p.m.
