John Guerin, Security Officer For 7 Years, Dies

A funeral Mass was held Dec. 13 at St. Eulalia Church in Winchester for John Guerin, a Boston College Police Department security officer who died of a heart attack Dec. 11 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton. He was 60.

Guerin joined the BCPD in 1989 and worked as a member of the department's residence hall team. He was a former owner of Mortgage Broker Associates in Weymouth and president of The Real Estate Guide in Newton.

A graduate of St. Columbkille's School in Brighton, Guerin served in the Army for two years before receiving his honorable discharge as a corporal.

Guerin was buried at Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester.
