Nominations for Community Service Award sought

The Office of State and Community Affairs is seeking nominations of Boston College employees for the 1996 Community Service Award.

Employees are urged to nominate colleagues who perform volunteer service in their communities. Any full- or part-time faculty or staff member is eligible for the award.

Nomination forms are available at Hopkins House and must be returned by March 29.

SAS making Easter baskets for Children's Hospital

The Staff Advisory Senate will make Easter baskets for patients at Children's Hospital in Boston and is seeking contributions from the Boston College community.

SAS is requesting items like small stuffed animals, colored plastic eggs, coloring books, crayons, candy bars, bubbles, small books, silly putty, stickers and baskets. Contributions may dropped off at the Service Building, room 003, before April 1.

Students to brighten up kids' Easter at March 30 event

The Housing Office will sponsor its Brighten Up the Day for a Delightful Youth program on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. in O'Connell House. The Easter-theme event will be held for local children from St. Gabriel's Church in Brighton and Blessed Sacrament Church in Jamaica Plain.

The children and the BC student "BUDDY" will make Easter eggs, watch movies or play outside. The children will receive presents and be photographed with the Easter Bunny. The Children's Theater, a Boston College student group, also will perform.
