Faculty reminded of semester schedule

The Academic Vice President's Office is reminding faculty that this semester's academic calendar differs from that of years past.

Presidents' Day, Feb. 19, will no longer be observed and the University will be open. The Easter weekend, April 4-8, has been expanded to include Easter Monday, when only classes beginning at 4 p.m. or later will be held.

Student leadership nominations sought

The Office of the Dean for Student Development is seeking nominations for the annual Student Leadership Awards.

There are several awards recognizing leadership in a number of areas. Faculty and staff with personal knowledge of outstanding student achievement not related to paid work are encouraged to submit nominations.

Forms are available in McElroy 141 and 233 and the deadline for submissions is Feb. 2.
