Church 21 Conference Focuses on Area Students

The Church in the 21st Century Center will sponsor a conference this Saturday, "Our Church, Our Faith, Our Future," that invites students from Boston area colleges and universities to discuss contemporary Catholic issues.

The all-day event, which will be held in Gasson Hall, features several break-out sessions, including "AHANA Students and Catholic Faith on Campus," led by Nancy Pineda Madrid, a professor in the Institute for Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry, and "Relationships and Sexuality," led by Campus Minister Jack Butler, SJ. Other sessions will explore topics such as social justice and discerning one's vocation.

Participating institutions include Assumption, Babson, Bentley, Laboure, Simmons and Wellesley colleges; Brandeis, Harvard and Northeastern universities; Massachusetts Institute of Technology and College of the Holy Cross.

Details are available through the C21 Web site at www.bc.edu/church21/programs/studentconference/. For more information, contact the C21 Center at ext.2-0470 or by e-mail at church21@bc.edu.
