Workshop on Sexuality and Catholicism

A workshop sponsored by the Institute for Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry this Saturday will explore the historical development of Catholic tradition in regard to sexuality.

Francine Cardman, an associate professor of historical theology at Weston Jesuit School of Theology, will present "Sexuality In Catholic Tradition" from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the McGuinn Hall Fifth Floor Lounge. The cost is $35.

Cardman will examine how Catholic theologians, ethicists and the magisterium have thought about human sexuality and developed norms for its expression in Christian life. The workshop will use presentations and small group discussion to consider the connections among theology, ethics, church teaching, spirituality, and experience.
