BC United Way Campaign Off and Running

The 2004 Boston College United Way Campaign officially got under way on Oct. 13, with organizers hoping that the University community will continue to show its generosity and support for the charitable organization.

The campaign, which is chaired by Information Technology Services Associate Vice President Mary Corcoran and Director of Public Affairs Jack Dunn, runs through Nov. 12.

This year, Boston College will be participating in the UnitedWay@work system, which enables employees to make a donation or pledge to the campaign on-line. The on-line campaign will offer employees the convenience and privacy of making their donation from home or office in a secure manner. Every employee who donates will be automatically entered in a weekly raffle for prizes.

Last year, BC employees donated more than $132,000 to the campaign. The University's participation rate in the annual drive is consistently at or near the top of local institutions.
