Funny Guy: An appreciative crowd, including sophomores Ashley Mattys (at left in photo above) and Kaitlyn Sprague, watched Sean Mitchell '07 (in photo at right) use his self-deprecating wit to earn top honors in the inaugural "Funniest Comic on the Heights" competition. Sponsored by the Undergraduate Government of Boston College and the Boston College Republicans and based on NBC-TV's "Last Comic Standing," the contest drew 37 would-be wisenheimers in all, each performing a stand-up routine in front of an audience, which voted for the winners. Mitchell, along with Bobby Kneeland '07, Tim Cameron '07, Julian Kiani '08 and Bradford Quinn '05, survived the preliminary rounds and took part in the final, held Nov. 18 in Higgins Auditorium. Mitchell received a gift certificate and will have the opportunity to perform at upcoming UGBC-sponsored events. (Photos by Justin Knight)
