Robsham Season Begins Oct. 9

The 2003-04 Robsham Theater Arts Center fall season begins next weekend with a production of "The Crucible," Arthur Miller's classic drama about the Puritan purge of witchcraft in old Salem.

The Robsham production, directed by Adj. Asst. Prof. Luke Jorgensen (Theater), will run at the main stage from Oct. 9-11, with performances beginning at 8 p.m. There will be a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Oct. 12.

Two productions will take place at Robsham's Bonn Studio this month, "The Fantasticks," from Oct. 16-18, and "The Foreigner" from Oct. 30-Nov. 1.

From Nov. 20-23, the Robsham main stage will be the setting for Tom Stoppard's "Arcadia."

Other events taking place this fall at Robsham are an Oct. 14 concert to benefit the Support Committee for Battered Women and the Boston College Dance Ensemble's fall performance from Dec. 4-6.

The fall season will conclude with the now-traditional production of "A Dancer's Christmas" on Dec. 12-14 and Dec. 19-21.
