This Sunday, Nov. 30, at 4 p.m., the first in the annual series of University Masses for Advent will be celebrated by Lynch School Interim Dean Joseph O'Keefe, SJ, with music provided by the St. Mary's Schola with director and organist Timothy Zimmerman. The Masses are scheduled each Sunday of Advent at 4 p.m. in St. Mary's Chapel. Upcoming celebrants: Dec. 7, Jesuit Community Rector Edward O'Flaherty, SJ; Dec. 14, Prof. Francis X. Clooney, SJ (Theology); and Dec. 21, Jesuit Institute Director T. Frank Kennedy, SJ.
Monday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m., a Byzantine-rite Catholic Mass at St. Mary's will mark both the Western feast of the Immaculate Conception (Dec. 8) and the Eastern evening vigil feast of the Conception by St Anna of the Mother of God (Dec. 9). Rev. Michael Moisin will be the celebrant, while the Rublev Choir, led by Mary Arapoff, will sing.
Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m., the annual Ceremony of Lessons and Carols at St. Mary's will feature a performance by the Boston Boy Choir of the Archdiocesan Choir School at St. Paul's Church in Cambridge.
