A&S Senior Kia Rozier Dies

Kia Rozier, a senior from Lakewood, NJ, known for her love of music and selfless commitment to her friends and family, died from pulmonary complications on Oct. 29 at St. Elizabeth's hospital. She was 21.

A music major enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and recipient of a 2002 Boston College Arts Council Award, Miss Rozier played violin and viola in the Boston College Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Music Society.

Miss Rozier was preparing to perform a senior recital in the spring and had said she hoped to become a music teacher.

A funeral service was held Nov. 4 at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Lakewood. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to her parents: Sterling and Bernetta Rozier, 1552 Salem St., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
