Fr. Skehan to Present Talks on Massachusetts Geology

Geologist, teacher and author Rev. James Skehan, SJ, director emeritus of the Weston Observatory of Boston College, will invite the public to discover the geology beneath the historic countryside of Massachusetts at a May 5 colloquium.

The event will take place at Weston Observatory from 7-9 p.m., and will be repeated on Thursday, May 13.

A professor emeritus in the Geology and Geophysics Department, Fr. Skehan has been dedicated to his twin callings as scientist and priest, leading prayer retreats for students and faculty and contributing highly praised research on geological history.

Among Fr. Skehan's many publications is The Roadside Geology of Massachusetts, copies of which will be available for purchase and signing by the author at the colloquium.
