A look at upcoming events being held as part of Boston College's "Church in the 21st Century" program:

Wednesday, Oct. 23, 7:30 p.m., Robsham Theater. The Communication Department sponsors "Spotlight on Scandal: How The Boston Globe Broke the Story and Covered the Sexual Abuse Crisis," featuring Boston Globe Spotlight Team editor Walter Robinson and staff.

Tuesday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m., Higgins 300. Assoc. Prof. Elizabeth Sparks (LSOE) presents "Psychological and Spiritual Impact of Sexual Abuse on Children."

Wednesday, Oct. 30, 7 p.m., Gasson 100. Prominent author Garry Wills, whose most recent book is Why I Am a Catholic, presents "Being Catholic."

Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m., Fulton 235. The Institute for Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry presents "The Church: Rekindling the Fire in Dark Times," with IREPM Director Assoc. Prof. Mary Ann Hinsdale, IHM, and Adj. Prof. Francis Sullivan, SJ (Theology).

Thursday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m., Higgins 310. "Lonergan and Sexuality: Insights and Possible Implications," with Loyola University of Chicago Professor John Haughey, SJ.
