More Funding for Retirement Center

The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College recently received $1.677 million in its fifth and final installment of a grant from the Social Security Administration. The total amount received from SSA over the five-year grant period is $8.645 million.

"This amount is 65 percent more than the initial grant of $5.25 million," said the center's director, Drucker Professor of Management Sciences Alicia H. Munnell.

Housed in the Carroll School of Management the center promotes research on retirement issues, transmits new findings to the policy community and the public, helps train new scholars, and broadens access to valuable data sources. The center's Web site is located at http://www.bc.edu/crr.
