Graduate Student Amy Murray Dies

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Brigid's Church in Boston for Amy K. Murray, a graduate student pursuing a joint degree in social work and pastoral ministry, who died April 16 following a surgical procedure. She was 29.

Miss Murray had been active in community service while an undergraduate at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in international marketing, and continued to do so upon moving to Boston in 1995. In recognition of her service, she was awarded a Boston Neighborhood Fellowship grant of $25,000 in 2000.

A native of the Chicago area, Miss Murray is survived by her parents, Arthur G. and Margaret M. (Bart) Murray of Allentown, Pa.; a brother, Arthur, of Atlantic City, NJ; and a sister, Melissa D'Antonio of Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the South Boston Neighborhood House, 521 East Seventh Street, South Boston, MA 02127.
