BC Center for Retirement Research Is Awarded $2.1 Million Grant

The Boston College Center for Retirement Research has received a $2.1 million grant from the Social Security Administration for fiscal year 2001-2002, the fourth year of a five-year grant that began in 1998.

"This amount is more than double the original grant agreement for this period," said Drucker Professor in Management Sciences Alicia H. Munnell, director of the center, which is affiliated with the Carroll School of Management and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. "It reflects the tremendous value that the Social Security Administration places on the Center's work."

The center, which includes a network of retirement policy experts at Boston College and affiliated institutions, funds and disseminates research on retirement policy issues, helps to train the next generation of scholars and strives to broaden access to top-quality data.
