Fr. Riordan, an associate professor at the Milltown Institute of Theology and Philosophy in Dublin, will discuss the social teaching of the Catholic Church as it applies to economic affairs and the participants in financial markets. Do those involved in the complex set of activities concerned with creating and distributing wealth through markets require a concept of the common good? What is the meaning and usefulness of this concept in relation to the economy?
The event, sponsored by the Jesuit Institute, is free and open to the public.
