The police, firefighters and EMTs were in Boston to take part in a memorial service for the 403 public safety personnel killed in the line of duty at the World Trade Center. The service took place Sunday at Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester.
"We wanted to pay tribute to these individuals for the incredible heroism they displayed in the wake of the September 11 attacks," said BC Athletic Director Gene DeFilippo. "It's the least we could do to honor them for the sacrifices they have made."
