The athletic equipment room in Conte Forum is dedicated to the affable Mr. Perkins, who was affectionately dubbed the University's "Dean of Equipment" during his tenure.
"A genial and kind-hearted man, 'Tank' Perkins had a genuine fondness for every student-athlete who wore Boston College's Maroon and Gold," reads the dedication plaque in the equipment issue area.
Following funeral services on May 3, Mr. Perkins was interred at Union Cemetery in his hometown of Amesbury. He is survived by two step-daughters and a granddaughter.
