The awards recognize books published in the past three years by faculty or staff at Jesuit colleges or universities in the United States, and carry a cash prize of $1,000. Entries are judged on the basis of scholarship, presentation and style.
Deadline for submission is March 1.
Boston College authors have won eight first-prizes since the Alpha Sigma Nu Book Awards were inaugurated in 1979 to recognize scholarly publication by faculty and administrators at Jesuit institutions.
The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in Washington, DC, administers the book awards.
