Full-time MBA Program Drawing Strong Interest

With undergraduate applications to Boston College at an all-time high, the Carroll Graduate School of Management's full-time MBA program is having its second break-out year in a row.

CGSOM administrators report 222 applications to the MBA program were received as of the Dec. 1 early action deadline, a 69 percent increase over last year's record of 131 for the same period. Requests for admission will be accepted until April 1.

Director of Graduate Enrollment and MBA Admissions Shelley Conley said that while the surge of interest stems in part from the recent economic downturn - which has contributed to increased applications at other top-ranked MBA programs - the growing prominence of the Carroll School and its MBA program has played a major role in the increase of applications.

CSOM Dean Helen Frame Peters said, "We are gratified that so many outstanding students continue to recognize the excellence of the Carroll School MBA program. From initial review of applications, not only have the quantity of applicants increased but the quality of applicants has continued to grow as well," she said.
