Garvey was chosen as chair-elect at the AALS annual meeting in New Orleans last month, during which he also presented a talk on strategic planning.
The AALS is a non-profit association of 164 law schools that serves as a learned society for law teachers and is legal education's principal representative to the federal government and other national higher education organizations and societies.
