Today through Saturday, the fourth annual Boston College Arts Festival will offer a slate of concerts, theatrical performances, readings, lectures, dance and art exhibitions, and many other events.
The third day added to this year's festival will have a particularly family-friendly atmosphere, with arts and crafts activities, a story hour and a selection of theatrical scenes geared toward children.
Schedules and other details about the event are available at the Arts Festival World Wide Web site, www.bc.edu/arts.
Saturday will see another family-oriented event when the BC Athletic and Alumni associations host Family Fun Day 2002 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Flynn Recreation Complex patio. A range of activities will be available, including swimming, face-painting and other amusements, and BC cheerleaders and mascots will be on hand.
BC athletic teams will be in action that day, with a baseball-softball double-header on Shea Field beginning at noon. At 1 p.m., the annual Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Football Game will take place in Alumni Stadium.
