Employees Reminded That Gambling is Not Permitted on BC Property

(1-21-97) -- In advance of this weekend's Super Bowl game, Vice President for Human Resources Leo V. Sullivan is reminding Boston College employees that gambling is forbidden in University offices and departments.

Sullivan said that office betting pools and other wagering activities related to the Super Bowl - or any other event - are illegal in Massachusetts and, therefore, banned on Boston College property.

"It is very important that Boston College faculty, staff and administrators remember that gambling activity will not be permitted at Boston College," Sullivan said.
