(5-16-97) -- Boston College employees are again this year being directed to park off campus on Monday, Commencement Day.
In a memorandum to all employees earlier this month from Vice President for Human Resources Leo V. Sullivan and Vice President for Administration John T. Driscoll, employees were directed to park at either St. John's Seminary or the Chestnut Hill Mall on May 19. This will free up parking spaces on campus for the families and friends of the graduates.
Shuttle buses will run between the campus and the two satellite parking sites from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The St. John's bus will let employees off in front of St. Ignatius Church and, starting at 7:30 a.m., shuttle service will be available between the church and Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum.
The mall shuttle will drop riders off at McElroy Commons. The Cafe, inside the main entrance to McElroy Commons, will be open from 7-10 a.m.
Gate attendants will not allow employees' cars entrance to the Lower Campus, including the garages and More Hall, on Monday. Middle Campus parking will be available only to those employees with "A" parking stickers.
