Cars Must be Removed From Campus by 4 p.m. Thursday

(10-6-98) -- All cars must be removed from the Chestnut Hill campus by 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, prior to the football game that evening between Boston College and Virginia Tech at Alumni Stadium.

Parking for resident students will be made available at Newton Campus.

University offices will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday so the campus may be prepared for the nationally televised football game at 8 p.m. Classes scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and later that day will be postponed until Thursday, Dec. 10.

Boston College and other schools in the Big East athletic conference have a contract with the ESPN television network that requires each member team to play an occasional Thursday night game.

Faculty and staff who must be on campus after 4 p.m. must obtain a parking pass under the same procedure employed for Saturday football games.
