(10-1-98) -- Michael F. Price and Geoffrey T. Boisi were mistakenly omitted from profiles of newly elected Boston College trustees in the Oct. 1 Boston College Chronicle.
Also, Richard T. Horan, who was listed as a new trustee, has been a member of the board since 1992.
Price is the chief executive officer and president with overall supervisory responsibility for Franklin Mutual Advisers, Inc. He is also president and chairman of Franklin Mutual Series Fund, Inc., which consists of Mutual Shares Fund, Mutual Qualified Fund, Mutual Beacon Fund, Mutual Discovery Fund, Mutual European Fund and Mutual Financial Services Fund.
Prior to his current position, Price was a director and executive officer of Mutual Shares Fund and, later, president and chief operating officer of Heine Securities Corp.
Price holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma.
Boisi was re-elected to the Board of Trustees after serving as a trustee from 1981-97, and as a trustee associate for the past year. He served as the board's chairman from 1993-96, during which time the board selected William P. Leahy, SJ, as the Univeristy's 25th president.
Boisi is chairman and CEO of The Beacon Group, LLC, a private equity and advisory firm in New York City. Previously, he spent 22 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., including a tenure as head of the investment banking division and member of the firm's management committee.
He is a 1969 graduate of Boston College, and holds a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
