(5-11-98) -- Applications are being accepted for the new position of Local Service Center Director, the first step in a major Project Delta initiative that will streamline and improve the delivery of support services to all Boston College faculty and staff.
The Local Service Center concept calls for the formation of teams of professional employees who will provide technical and administrative service to schools, departments or clusters of departments.
Once hired, the LSC director will oversee the selection and training of technology consultants, the first members of the service center teams, who will provide professional technical support across campus.
The LSC director also will participate in the design and implementation of subsequent phases of the service center concept.
Project Delta Manager James Kreinbring said internal candidates will be given preference in the LSC director search. For more information, interested candidates may view the job listing on the World Wide Web.
