BC hockey team advances to NCAA Final

(4-7-2000)--The Boston College men's hockey team earned its second crack at a national title in three years, as the Eagles defeated St. Lawrence University 4-2 in the NCAA Championship semifinal held last night at the Providence Civic Center.

BC will now face the University of North Dakota in tomorrow night's championship final. UND beat the University of Maine, 2-0, in the other semifinal match-up. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will be broadcast on ESPN, WBNW-AM (1120), WESX-AM (1230) and WJDA-AM (1300).

Blake Bellefeille, Jeff Farkas, Mike Mottau and Brian Gionta scored goals for the Eagles, who rallied from deficits of 1-0 and 2-1. Goalie Scott Clemmensen racked up 26 saves.
