Roger Goode named director of Facilities Services

(8-14-2000) Boston College has announced that Roger S. Goode, Jr. has been appointed director of facilities services (formerly Buildings & Grounds) at Boston College, effective immediately. He succeeds Tom Devine who was named associate vice president of facilities management in July. In his role, Goode will report to Devine who will oversee the recently reorganized department.

Goode came to Boston College in December of 1998 from Brown University where he had served as manager of mechanical and electrical systems. Before that, he served as manager of operations at EUA-Cogenex in Lowell. A resident of Milford, Goode holds a bachelor of science degree in marine engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and a master's degree in economic policy and planning from Northeastern University.

"Roger has a great working relationship with the Boston College campus community," said Devine. "He is well respected in the old Buildings & Grounds and Planning and Construction Departments, and will do a great job in his new role."

Added Goode, "I am very excited about the opportunities to serve the Boston College community through the new department. I look forward to the challenges and new responsibilities that lie ahead."
