First Happy Hour a Great Time
The first Alumni Club Happy Hour in Del Mar went really well. There were
about 15 BC alumni at Epazodes, and some people brought family and guests. This was
the first alumni event for many in attendance. The good turnout of alumni from all
classes can in part be attributed to a little bit of telephoning a few weeks earlier
in John's office. Everyone agreed that we should try to plan Happy Hours more often,
so check out the following schedule. Hope to see you there!
Alumni Participate in Joint Clean Up Effort
Early on
a muggy June 27th, members of the San Diego BC Alumni joined forces with area Northeastern
University Alumni. The two groups met at 9am on Saturday to clean up the Memorial
Community Park in San Diego. This park provides numerous facilities for the local
community. The BC/NU group witnessed several community events including swimming,
baseball and soccer. With the assistance of Park Staff, two fences were erected around
the baseball diamond. Additionally, the entrance and parking lots were cleared of
trash and debris. BC Alums included Evelyn Hom, John and Leslie O'Neil, Peter Salmon
and Rebecca Scease. |
