Our Annual Christmas Luncheon was held on Sunday, December 11th, at the Coonammesset Inn . Peter '56 and Bea '62 Colleary very successfully ran the event again this year. The crowd joined in the singing of Christmas Chorales led by our entertainer, Dick Tellier. Our club raised $3500 as our Christmas Gift to the Jesuit Community residing at the Campion Center in Weston, MA. "Networking Night"
An Invitation To New Membership

On November 4th, A social mixer was held at Ardeo's Restaurant in Yarmouthport in an effort to increase new membership in our Chapter. A special welcome was extended to younger alumni to hear their thoughts and suggestions on making our club activities more relevant to the newer generation. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres were served. Other similar events with this objective are planned for the future to be coordinated by our Membership Chairperson, Brian Costello'67.

Annual Memorial Mass

In honor of the memory of the deceased members of our Chapter, the Mass was held on November 3rd at the Sacred Heart Chapel in Yarmouthport..

Concelebrated by Fr. Steve Koen '54, Fr. Hugh O'Regan '52, and Fr. Tom Murray '52, the Holy Service was attended by approximately 75 Members.
Our Chaplain, Fr. Koen, delivered another e xcellent Homily. Our Vice
President, Joe Donahue'55, followed with a listing of the deceased Members. The Prayer Readings were given by Dottie Sollitto Hiltz'58.

Following Mass the group enjoyed a delightful luncheon at the nearby Old Yarmouth Inn. This memorable event resulted from the outstanding efforts of Mary and Joe Donahue.

 

 

 

Fall Golf Tournament The Golf Turkey Shoot was held at the Brookside Golf Club in Bourne on Monday, Oct 3rd. Approximately 80 people joined in the golf and dinner. Prizes were awarded for the best scores and turkeys provided to each golfing participant. Linda and Joe Sweeney '67, our Club President, have done an outstanding job these past few years in running this event and are deserving of our gratitude.

 

 

Lobsterfest The Coonamesset Inn in Falmouth was the location again for our Summer Lobster Festival. The event was held on Wednesday, August 3rd, with an attendance of over 100 club members and friends. The variety and quality of food was excellent. In addition to the 1 1/2 pound lobster, the menu included chowder, barbecued chicken, steamed clams, corn on the cob, etc. A generous serving of strawberry shortcake followed the buffet. We extend a note of sincere appreciation to Anne and Norb Timmins '53 for another superb effort in organizing this activity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lobster Roll Sunset Cruise A sellout crowd attended the event on Thursday, July 7th. This twilight event out of Sesuit Harbor in Dennis resulted from the excellent efforts of our Vice President, Joe Donahue '55 and his wife, Mary.
Look for this cruise to be repeated next year

 

 

The Annual Luncheon Meeting and Election was held on Friday, June 10th, at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth. Our Club
President, Joe Sweeney '67, is seen here welcoming the gathering to the event. Joe was ably assisted be his wife, Linda, in organizing the program for the day. Our featuresd speaker was the Reverend James A. Woods S.J.,
Director of the BC Woods College of Advancing Studies.
