Medical Insurance
Short Term Medical insurance is available through the Alumni Association to help fill the gap for recent graduates, or alumni between jobs.

This high-quality, affordable insurance can fill the temporary insurance needs of alumni and family members under age 65.

Currently available to residents of all states except Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Vermont. (An individual is considered a resident of the state in which he or she lives when insurance is to begin.)

Also available is special medical insurance for U.S. residents traveling abroad and for foreign residents visiting the U.S.

Life Insurance
The Alumni Association offers exclusive group life insurance at a very competitive rate to Boston College graduates. The program is underwritten by New York Life Insurance Company, one of the industry's largest and most respected insurance companies.

Auto Insurance

For Massachusetts Residents
All Boston College graduates and their spouses who reside in Massachusetts are eligible for discounted auto insurance premiums:

• 10% minimum discount for all drivers
  
• maximum 19% discount for alumni with good driving records

The plan is underwritten by Safety Insurance Group of Boston, the fourth largest writer of automobile insurance in the state, and a company consistently given an A rating by AM Best.

Enrollment in the program is simple:

• If your coverage is currently provided by an agent representing Safety, just mention your alumni status to receive your discount.
  
• If your agent is not affiliated with Safety, he or she can make brokerage arrangements through the William J. Sullivan Insurance Agency at 617 698-3838.
