What do Ignacio Volunteers do?
Ignacio Volunteers participate in various projects which respond to the needs of
the local community. Depending on the location, volunteers serve by: facilitating
educational workshops ("camps") for children and adolescents; visiting local
ministries to the homeless, elderly, and the young; and participating in
community-based construction projects.
Before, during, and after traveling to the service immersion site, Ignacio Volunteers
participate in regularly scheduled meetings. These meetings provide adequate
opportunity for planning and organizing, training and orientation, community building,
and continued reflection.
