This excursion is full; no late registrations will be accepted.

The tour starts at 9 AM at the Old State House next to the National Park Service Visitor Center in Boston.

Directions from MIT by subway:
Take the Red Line inbound to downtown Boston (any train to Ashmont or Braintree).  Get off at the DOWNTOWN CROSSING station (the third stop after Kendall Square).  Go right and then up the escalator to the platform for the Orange Line towards OAK GROVE.  Take the Orange Line to the next stop, STATE STREET. Take the escalator and stairs up to State Street.  Leave on the right side of the building, which is the Old State House.  You should see the National Park Service Visitor Center.  We will gather at the benches there.

Your guide on this unique adventure will be Michael Noga, the MIT Science Library Collection Manager.
