- Title: Edward T. P. Graham Papers, 1884-1911, (bulk 1901-1902).
Description: 3 linear ft. (12 boxes).
Finding aids: Finding Aid available. Item level control.
Summary: Consists mainly of correspondence from Graham to his mother
and aunt, while he was in Europe. Also includes postcards
and photographs of various buildings and other architectural
examples, especially from Italy.
Biog/Hist Note: Architect, Graham was born in Boston, and designed many
buildings in the area and in Cleveland. At his death he was
called "the Dean of Boston architects."

- Title: Charles Maginnis Collection, 1902-1986, (bulk 1941-1955).
Description: 2.5 linear ft. (5 boxes).
Arrangement: Organized into seven series: Correspondence; Publications; Manuscripts; Architectural Notes and Drawings; Photographs; Scrapbook; and Ephemera.
Finding aids: Finding aid available.
Summary: Consists of correspondence, publications, architectural drawings,
photographs, and other materials of Maginnis. Most of the
correspondence deals with architectural jobs, including
those at Boston College and St. Patrick's Cathedral in New
York. Among the correspondents are Boston College President
Thomas Gasson and Walter Gropius. Publications touch on
various topics in the field of architecture. There is some
biographical information on Maginnis and his partner Timothy
Walsh.
Biog/Hist Note: Architect and builder. Maginnis was born in Derry, Ireland and educated in Dublin. In 1885 he came to the United States
and worked in several architectural firms before co-founding
Maginnis, Walsh, and Sullivan. From 1906 Maginnis and Walsh
specialized in Catholic Church architecture. Their
commissions included the first buildings at Boston College's
Chestnut Hill campus.

- Title:G. William Patten Papers, [1927?] - [1973?].
Description:5 linear ft. (5 boxes).
Summary:Composed of correspondence, drawings, publications,
manuscripts, photographs, and newspaper clippings of Patten.
Includes notes on design and files on religious art. There
are also some architectural drawings of the National Shrine
of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
Biog/Hist. Note:Designer. Patten studied art at a number of schools in the
Boston area. From 1924 he worked for the firm of Cook,
Watkins & Patch, and specialized in monument design. Patten
was the author of numerous articles in AMERICAN ART IN
STONE.
