By seeking membership in Sigma Theta Tau International, you are aspiring to join nurses who are clinicians, educators, administrators and researchers who lead and support the profession's scientific journey toward improved patient care.

Undergraduate students must:

* have completed 1/2 of the nursing curriculum
* have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale)
* rank in the upper 35 percentile of graduating class

Master's degree students must:

* have completed 1/4 of the nursing curriculum
* have at least a GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 scale)

Doctoral degree students must:

* have completed 1/4 of the nursing curriculum
* have at least a GPA of 3.75 (based on a 4.0 scale)

Nurse leaders must:

* be a registered nurse
* hold at least a baccalaureate degree
* have demonstrated marked achievement in nursing, education, practice, research, or publication

All potential applicants must meet the expectation of academic integrity and obtain two endorsements.
