Would you like to enhance your curriculum with technology
but don't know what is involved or what steps to take? How
do you know what technology is right for your project? This
session will step through a planning framework that will
help you match technology activities to your learning objectives.
We will explore different kinds of technology projects from
small "nuggets" like sending email to an expert
to larger inquiry projects such as investigating the migration

Intro to KidPix
This workshop is designed to increase your basic comfort
and knowledge of KidPix. Come explore the features of KidPix
including slide shows, Moopies, Digital Puppets, Stampinator,
plus fun color and cut projects. Develop and share lesson
ideas to use in your classroom today!
Inspiration software is a tool for computer-generated concept
mapping to support both visual learners and idea generation
that can be automatically reformated as linear outlines
or text within the software. While Inspiration was created
for intermediate through secondary students, adaptations
for primary students as well as examples are provided. The
workshops concentrates on familiarizing participants with
basic features of Inspiration and applications with hands-on
practice and creating of examples.
Kidspiration softare, which is the primary version of Inspiration,
will also be available for preview.

presentations, including slide transitions, special effects,
and inserting graphics.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of using a videocamera
and iMoviesoftware to create movies which can be shown in
classrooms, on the internet,or via videotape. This hands-on
workshop (both camera and software) willalso include introductions
to titles, transitions, and soundtracks.
CD's, Scanning and OCR
CD's can help you save precious information in larger quantities
to simplify your files and preserve data. Learn how to create
music and data CD's. Scanning allows you to take images
and text and put them in digital format. Learn the basics
of scanning and inserting graphics.
your own Web Page in an hour! Participants will learn ow
to create a basic web page containing text images, links
and tables, and how to upload it. This workshop is inteneded
as an introduction for those of you who have no experience
creating web pages or who wish to brush up on the basics.
