The Saint Thomas More
Society is an organization of Boston College Law students and
professors. Its purposes are threefold. First, the Society exists to
foster the spiritual lives of Catholics at Boston College Law School.
Second, the Society promotes service to the greater community,
particularly in educational and social service institutions operated by
the Catholic Church or its affiliates. Finally, the Society seeks to
provide a Catholic voice on issues of relevance to law students and
promote an understanding of Church teaching.
To these ends, the Society sponsors daily Mass on the Law School
campus, Mass for Holy Days and Reconciliation services during Lent and
Advent. The Society has also conducted clothing and food drives. This
year, the Society continues its sponsorship of a series of lectures
designed to introduce and re-introduce people to some of the
fundamentals of the Catholic faith.
Membership in the Society is open to students of all religions who are
interested in exploring the rich teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
Interested students should e-mail for more information.
