GENERAL PUBLIC INTEREST LINKS

The Center for Law in the Public Interest (CLIPI) was one of the nation's first nonprofit, public interest law firms. Clipi is dedicated to policy-oriented research, counseling, and legislative advocacy primarily in the areas of environmental/land use, consumer protection and civil rights law including actions under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ) is a national public interest law firm that marshals the skills and resources of trial lawyers to create a more just society. TLPJ uses creative litigation to protect people and the environment, hold accountable those who abuse power, challenge and remedy wrongdoing, guard access to the courts, combat threats to our judicial system, and inspire lawyers to serve the public interest. The TLPJ Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable membership organization that supports the work of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. It currently has over 1,500 members throughout the world.

National Legal Center for the Public Interest The National Legal Center for the Public Interest (NLCPI) is a nonpartisan, educational and public service foundation concerned with issues of public policy which relate to law or to the administration of justice. It was created in 1975 to bring balance into the courts in the defense of citizens' rights, the freedom of private enterprise, and the reduction of excessive government regulation. The Center does not litigate. It fulfills its mission through its educational publications and forums.

Equal Justice Works  EJW is a resource for law students looking for public interest employment and funding. It includes information about the annual EJW conference and job fair as well as the EJW fellowship.

Public Interest Clearinghouse (California)

Robert M. Cover Public Interest Retreat and Conference Cover is an Annual retreat for law students and practitioners to come together for a time of renewal and to discuss issues facing those committed to public interest law and social justice.

Rebellious Lawyering Conference  Rebel Law is an annual student run conference at Yale Law School. It brings speakers from a variety of public interest and social justice organizations.
