Joshua Dorchak is a second-year student at Boston College Law School. He holds a B.A. from Haverford College and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. Formerly a professor of Classics, he has also been for three years a freelance researcher and writer for the Lemelson-MIT Awards Program in Invention and Innovation, on-line at http://web.mit.edu/invent/.
Peter Lyle is from Newark, NJ. He is a 1992 graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME, where he majored in English and History. Prior to matriculating at Boston College Law School, he served as Assistant Dean of Admissions at Bowdoin.
Ron Mathoda, Secretary, is a member of the Boston College Law School class of 1999. His undergraduate career and diverse work experiences have bestowed upon him business and technical perspectives, to which he is now striving to add methods of legal analysis. Social issues generated by advancing technology, as well as the mundane issues that affect entrepreneurial companies, interest Ron. He also enjoys sketching portraits, writing fiction, and learning. He would enjoy smooth sailing, were he to experience it for any length of time. For more about his background please see his personal web site.
Roxanne Matthews is a 1996 graduate of Middlebury College, where she studied Geography and Environmental Studies, and a member of the Boston College Law School Class of 2001. Roxanne worked in the non-profit world before decided to pursue a legal career and has recently become interested in issues relating to internet law.
Bryan L. Olson, Articles Chair, is a member of the BCLS class of 2001. He graduated from Westminster College of SLC in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. Bryan has been employed at a large company since 1993, and currently works in the firm's New Hampshire office part-time. Stacy Ratner, Site Chair, holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Brandeis University (1994) and is also a graduate of the Radcliffe Publishing Course. At BCLS, from which she expects to receive her J.D. in 1999, she is Executive Editor of the International & Comparative Law Review. In her "spare time," Stacy serves as production designer for Snapdragon Technologies and competes with her horse in the 3'6" jumper divisions.
Matthew M. Robbins, a member of the class of 2001, holds a B.A. in Political Science from Brandeis University. His outside interests include softball and current events.
John Sanzi, after having worked for a couple of years as the Compliance Coordinator of a Boston-area chemical manufacturer, is now simultaneously pursuing a J.D., M.B.A., and M.S.E.L. In 1996 he graduated from the College of the Holy Cross, where he was a double-major in Chemistry and Visual Arts. In spite of John's diversified scholastic background, he has not forgotten that wisdom is most often found outside the classroom. He expects to complete all of his graduate studies by 2002.
Adam White Scoville, Director, is a member of the Boston College Law School class of 1999. A native Vermonter, Adam received his B.A. in English in 1994 from Yale University and spends his scarce free time singing jazz a cappella with Pickup 6.
Adam J. Sulkowski is a J.D./M.B.A. candidate and a member of the BCLS class of 2000. He received his B.A. in Government from the College of William and Mary. He keeps himself amused by playing saxophone, travelling, painting, and running marathons.
Janine Susan is a member of the BCLS class of 2001. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Millersville Univ. of PA and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from SUNY Stony Brook. She also spent several years as a Synthetic Chemist at Johnson Matthey, Inc., West Chester, PA. In a bold move away from "the bench" she recently served as Intern/Technology Specialist at Hoffmann & Baron, LLP, Jericho, NY. The high point of her life to date has been summiting Mt. Rainier, but she looks forward to "bagging" many more peaks.
Peter Weinstein is a member of the Boston College Law School class of 2000. He holds a B.S. from the University of Connecticut and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, both in Biology. Peter is a Patent Agent in the litigation department of Goodwin, Procter, & Hoar, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Julie L. Wilson is a member of the BCLS class of 2000. She graduated from Saint Anselm College with a B.A. in Politics and a Certificate in Russian Area Studies. Her interests include movies, good books and travel -- especially to Walt Disney World. She also occasionally lets her husband drag her up mountains and onto bike trails.
Stacey Winkler ('01) is a graduate of Brandeis University with a double major in Comparative Literature and European Cultural Studies and a minor in Spanish. Although she is remiss in not having a technical background because she was, technically, a turbo-charged liberal arts major in every sense of the term, she is nonetheless very much interested in intellectual property law, namely in the fields of trademark and copyright.
