Students at Boston College Law School have put a high-tech twist on an old
tradition: Writing for a scholarly journal. Making innovative use of Web
technology, a group of second- and third-year students has created the
paperless law review, an on-line journal called the Intellectual Property
and Technology Forum
(http://infoeagle.bc.edu/bc_org/avp/law/st_org/ipg/iptf). Accessible to any
user with an Internet connection and a Web browser, the site features a
colorful, user-friendly interface and a professional-looking design.  Pages
download quickly and hypertext links abound.
From the home page, visitors can access articles on current developments in
technology law and intellectual property, including First Amendment
protection in cyberspace, patent and trademark issues, DNA testing in the
courtroom and government regulation on the Internet.  Links take users to
related on-line resources, including court decisions, statutes, news
reports and relevant off-site pages.  An analysis of the Supreme Court's
recent decision in Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union, for example,
includes links to related decisions, as well as a transcript of oral
arguments.
E-mail links allow visitors to post comments and interact with the student
editors.  Legal practitioners, professors and judges are invited to submit
analyses, comments and traditional
