BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
BY MBTA (The name of Boston's subway system)
The Boston College branch of the MBTA's "Green Line" (B) ends at the foot of the
campus on Commonwealth Avenue. Cross the street and walk by St. Ignatius Church. The main
gate is up the hill about 250 yards.
FROM LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:
Take the freee shuttle bus from your terminal
to the Airport station, which is on the Blue Line. Take the subway to Government Center
Station and then the Green Line B to Boston College.
FROM NORTH STATION:
North Station is on the Green Line. Take the subway to Government
Center Station, then the Green Line B to Boston College.
FROM SOUTH STATION:
South Station is on the Red Line. Take the subway to
Park Street Station and then the Green Line B to Boston College.
BY CAR:
Boston College is located in the Chestnut Hill section of Newton, Massachusetts. The campus is approximately six miles west of the city of Boston.
FROM POINTS NORTH AND SOUTH
Take Interstate 95 (Route 128) to Exit 24 (Route 30). Proceed east on route 30, also known
as Commonwealth Avenue, and follow for about five miles to Boston College.
FROM POINTS WEST
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) to Exit 17. At the first set of lights off
the exit ramp, take a right onto Centre Street. Follow Centre Street to the fourth set of
lights, and turn left onto Commonwealth Avenue. Follow Commonwealth Avenue 1-1/2 miles to
Boston College.
FROM DOWNTOWN BOSTON
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) to Exit 17. Take a left over the bridge
after passing the Sheraton Tara Hotel. Take the first right onto Centre Street. Follow
above directions from Centre Street.
FROM THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE
Take Interstate 95 (Cross Bronx Expressway) to the Hutchinson River Parkway. Follow the
Merritt Parkway (Route 15) north to Route 91 north to Route 84 east. Take Route 84 east to
the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90). Once you get to I-90, follow directions from
Points West.
FROM THE TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE
Follow 287 east to Route 684 north to Route 84 east. Take Route 84 east to the
Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90). Once you get to I-90, follow directions from
Points West.
