PULSE students will have a choice of working in the following areas:
Residential Houses: PULSE students will have the opportunity
to work in any of the five houses. Students will be present in the
house working with the children and women on a consistent basis in order
to assist them to meet their needs. Specifically, a student
could help the women with resume development, cooking, or ESL workshops.
A student could also assist the children in childcare activities such as
eating, dressing, and hygiene. They would also help with recreational
activities such as reading, homework, and playing.
Guest Resource Center: CMV runs a donation center where
the women can shop for new clothing and necessities in an empowering atmosphere.
Students will collect and receive clothing and gifts for the women and
children.
Economic Literacy: This program provides economic literacy
training and support services to help all guests identify options for employment
and pursue their goals. Personal advocacy skill-building is the core
of the program.
